Weigh the spool with its remaining filament, subtract the empty-spool weight, and estimate whether there is enough material for the next print.
Spool tare weight varies by brand. Use the maker's empty-spool weight or weigh an identical empty spool for a better estimate.
Remove the spool from the printer, place it on a kitchen or parcel scale, and enter the combined weight. Use the tare weight for that exact spool type whenever possible.
Enter the slicer's filament estimate as grams per print. The result counts only complete prints and deliberately ignores the unusable final turns and measurement error.
